General notes

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our company. We are committed to providing you with the best possible service; this includes the constant optimization of our website and, of course, the protection of your data.

In the following, we would like to inform you about the handling of your data according to. Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

Responsible

The office named in the imprint is responsible for the data collection and processing described below.

Data security

In order to protect your data from unwanted access as comprehensively as possible, we take technical and organizational measures. We use an encryption method on our pages. Your information is transmitted from your computer to our server and vice versa via the Internet using TLS encryption. You can recognize this by the fact that the lock symbol is closed in the status bar of your browser and the address line starts with https:// in some browsers.

Usage data

When you visit our web pages, so-called usage data is temporarily evaluated on our web server for statistical purposes as a log in order to improve the quality of our web pages. This data set consists of

the name and address of the requested content,

the date and time of the query,

the amount of data transferred,

the access status (content transferred, content not found),

the description of the web browser and operating system used,

the referral link, which indicates from which page you have reached ours,

the IP address of the requesting computer.

We store the IP address transmitted by your web browser strictly for the purpose of detecting, limiting and eliminating attacks on our websites for a period of 14 days. After this period, we delete or anonymize the IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Data transmission to third parties

We transmit your data within the scope of an order processing according to. Art. 28 DSGVO to service providers who support us in the operation of our websites and related processes. Our service providers are strictly bound by instructions and contractually obligated to us accordingly.

Data transfer to third countries

If we should transfer personal data to a third country outside the EU, we will ensure an adequate level of data protection in each case.

Your rights as a user

You, as the data subject, have the right to information under Article 15 GDPR, the right to rectification under Article 16 GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR, the right to object under Article 21 GDPR and the right to data portability under Article 20 GDPR. With regard to the right to information and the right of deletion, the restrictions pursuant to Sections 34 and 35 BDSG apply. In addition, there is a right of appeal to a competent data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 DSGVO in conjunction with Section 19 BDSG).

Right of objection (Art. 21 DS-GVO)

If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f (data processing for the protection of legitimate interests), you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We shall then no longer process the personal data, unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right of complaint to a supervisory authority

You have according to. Article 77 DSGVO the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you are of the opinion that the processing of the data concerning you violates data protection regulations. The right of complaint may be asserted in particular before a supervisory authority in the Member State of your residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

Cookies use

On our websites, we occasionally use cookies to provide you with an optimal and user-friendly visit. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your terminal device and can be read. A distinction is made between session cookies, which are deleted again as soon as you close your browser, and permanent cookies, which are stored beyond the individual session. Cookies may contain data that make it possible to recognize the device used. In some cases, however, cookies also contain information about certain settings that cannot be related to a specific person.
We use both session cookies and permanent cookies on our websites.
These cookies do not contain personal data, nor do we combine them with other data to identify you personally. Furthermore, we do not use any analysis tool.
The processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1 S.1 lit. f GDPR.

You can set your browser to inform you about the placement of cookies. This makes the use of cookies transparent for you. You can also delete cookies at any time using the appropriate browser settings and prevent the setting of new cookies. Please note that our web pages may then not be displayed optimally and some functions may no longer be technically available.

Contact via WhatsApp

You can also contact us using WhatsApp. WhatsApp is an instant messaging service provided by WhatsApp Inc, a company located in the USA. We only use your data to process your request. Furthermore, no other data processing is carried out or initiated by us.

Please note that all information you share with us, as well as your phone number, is protected by WhatsApp Inc. stored on servers in the USA. It cannot be ruled out that WhatsApp Inc. uses your data, for example, to evaluate your habits, personal relationships, preferences, etc.. We have no influence on the processing of your data by WhatsApp Inc.

Social media plug-ins
For data protection reasons, we do not integrate social plugins directly into our website. When you access our pages, no data is therefore transmitted to social media services such as Facebook, Twitter, XING or Google+. Profiling by third parties is therefore excluded.

You may still have the option to share selected pages by clicking on Facebook, Twitter, XING or Google+ buttons and also see how often they have been shared in the past when you call up the posts. For this purpose, we use the so-called Shariff solution to offer a privacy-compliant alternative to the classic social plugins.
The Shariff solution results in all data and functions required to display the Facebook, Twitter, XING or Google+ buttons being provided by our web server in a first step. Only when you decide to share a post via the corresponding button and click on it, a data transmission to the operator of the respective social media service takes place

Online applications

We process your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations on the basis of § 26 BDSG-neu. We process the data that you disclose to us as part of your online application solely for the purpose of selecting applicants. Data processing for other purposes does not take place.
You yourself determine the scope of the data you wish to transfer to us as part of your online application. Online applications are transferred electronically to our personnel department, where they are processed as quickly as possible. The transmission is encrypted. As a rule, applications are forwarded to the heads of the relevant departments in our company. Beyond that, your data will not be passed on. Your information will be treated confidentially in our company. If your application is unsuccessful, your documents will be deleted after 6 months.
In the event that we may also consider your application for other or future job postings, please make a note to that effect on the application. We then process your data on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. In this case, your application will be deleted after two years.

Contact form

You have the possibility to contact us via web forms. To use our contact forms, we need your name and e-mail address. You can provide additional information, but you do not have to. The legal basis of the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO, if you contact us as an end customer or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO, provided that you contact us on behalf of the company for which you work. We use your data exclusively with the interest of processing your request.

We would like to point out that the data you provide will be collected and stored electronically. We use your data exclusively for processing your request. You can object to the further processing of your data at any time, e.g. by e-mail to vertrieb@jb-germanoil.de. Your data will then be deleted.

Sweepstakes

We use information that you provide in the context of competitions to determine and contact the winners (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b DSGVO). The winners will be notified in writing. As part of your participation in the competition, you may agree that the data you provide may also be electronically recorded and stored for the purpose of providing you with individualized product recommendations. Your data will only be used for advertising purposes with your consent. The legal basis of the processing for this is then Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Your consent can be revoked at any time, e.g. by e-mail to vertrieb@jb-germanoil.de. Otherwise, we will delete your data after the end of the prize transfer or if you object to the further use of your data, e.g. by e-mail to vertrieb@jb-germanoil.de.
